Soul Connections of Central Ohio, Inc was established in March 2017 as a 501(c)3 non-profit, rescue support network. We are a community of rescuers working together to prevent adoptable animals from being euthanized. We accomplish our goal in three ways:

1. We support families in need: Emergencies and illnesses can strike anyone. Often times, families are forced to make the gut-wrenching decision to surrender their pet to the shelter, rather than watch the pet suffer for lack of resources. Your pet is your family. At SCCO, we believe in keeping families together. If you need help with your pet's sudden medical expense, please contact us

In cases where surrender is the only option, we help place the animals with good, safe and reliable rescue partners.

2. We are a support system for the rescues: Rescues are expected to work miracles, but very rarely does anyone reach back out to support the organizations that give so much. SCCO supports our rescue partners by providing funding, transportation and other infrastructural support, and by connecting them to high quality volunteers, fosters, and adopters.

3. We support county shelters: County shelters are often over-burdened and under-staffed. SCCO helps by networking long term residents and by connecting shelters with reliable rescues. We also take on medical care for strays and strive to find placement if an owner fails to step up.

Our goal is to reduce (and someday eliminate) kill rates by educating and empowering the community, strengthening rescues, and collaborating with shelters. We aim to accomplish this goal through fundraising, and public education and service initiatives.
